New song sheets are up, with lyrics only, as usual. They are showing for, in order of authorship, then she came, wistful, and to have and to hold. I still can’t find my notebook with the final lyrics for “my banner,” but the search goes on. I’m also missing some sunglasses, so let’s all pray together or something. I want my notebook and my sunglasses back.
With the storms pounding the heart of the country over the last couple of weeks, the music room’s smell has gone from poopy to musty. I have continued with my vocal practice over my instrumental CD, and at this point, I’m about ready to just take the 788 out of that room and into any other, so I can record my vocals and master these versions out. I may also record a couple of the new songs I’ve worked up, called “wistful” and “then she came.”
I’m getting into a groove at my new job, so things don’t seem quite so turbulent as they did a couple weeks ago. I’m still short on time because I’m following the Stanley Cup conference finals, but fortunately I’m only really interested in the Western contest. I’m still cheering Minnesota, who, in defeating Vancouver in the 2nd round, became the very first team in NHL history to come back from a 3-1 series deficit twice in the same playoff year.
Anyways… I’m going to be doing some cleaning up here this weekend, continuing my vocal practice, and recording the rest of those acoustic songs in the coming week or two.
